Support and FAQ's

If you have a question, are having trouble with your course or just need a little help, take a look at these commonly asked questions to see if there is a simple solution to your issue.  We often get asked these questions, so are fairly certain you will be able to find what you need.  If however, you have exhausted our FAQ list and are still having problems, you can call us on (+44) 0800 101 8000 and we will help answer your questions and alleviate any problems you may be experiencing.

1- Is my credit card information saved?
No, we save no credit card information on any database, website or server.

2- How do I access the courses I have purchased?

3- Why is my course not running?
There could be a number of reasons why your course is not running:
a) What browser are you using? Some courses only work in Internet Explorer.  You can find out whether your course is affected by checking the course page of the website.
b) Have you got the latest version of Flash Player installed on your computer?  Nearly all courses use flash player to run.  If you haven't already, you will need to install Flash Player.  Go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ to download it.
c) What device are you using?  Unfortunately, some courses will not run on iPhones and iPads because Flash Player is not currently available for these devices.
d) Are your popups enabled?  Some courses need to open in a new window.  For this to happen, popups need to be enabled.

4- How do I enable popups?
a) In Internet Explorer.  To enable popups in Internet Explorer you must go to 'Internet Options' and click on the privacy tab.  Here you are able to disable the popup blocker or you can add trainingcourse.com to the exceptions by clicking on settings and adding the website address to the allowed site list.

d) In Safari.  To enable popups in Safari you must click on the Safari menu and choose 'Block Pop-Up Windows.

5- Why is there no Audio?
Most courses have audio but some do not.  If your audio is not working check that your speakers are on and volume is turned to an acceptable level.  However, if you are not able to listen to audio your learning outcomes will not be affected.  Many courses have been designed to work with or without audio and many videos have subtitles.

6- Do I receive a Certificate of Completion?
Yes you receive a certificate of completion for all courses on completion of the course. Click to view an example.

7- How do I print/save my certificate?

Once you have completed a course you will be able to save and print your certificate.  To do this you will need to go to the learning Zone and view your certificates.  Once you have opened the certificate you require, choose 'Print Certificate' and it should open in a new tab on your browser.  Then right click on the certificate and choose 'Save As'.  Save the file to your computer.  You can then open this file whenever you wish to print it.

8- System RequirementsTo view courses on your Windows or Mac computer you must have the following minimum system requirements

  • Adobe Flash Player 10 or higher
  • Firefox 1.1+, Internet Explorer 7.0+, Safari 1.0+, Google Chrome or Opera
  • Broadband connection with 500+Kbps

 

Minimum PC Requirements

  • Platform: Windows 2000 or higher
  • Processor: 500Mhz or Faster
  • RAM: 128MB or more
  • Video Card: at least 64MB of video memory
  • Sound Card: at least 16-bit

 

Minimum Mac Requirements

  • Platform: Mac OS X 10.3 or higher
  • Processor: 1.83Mhz Intel Core Duo or Faster
  • RAM: 128MB or more
  • Video Card: at least 64MB of video memory
  • Sound Card: at least 16-bit

 

9- I can't log on

If you can't logon you may have forgotten your password or username.  You can retrieve these by selecting the link in the learner login box.  You will receive an email with instructions on how to logon.  If you are still having problems you can contact us.

10- Is there a time limit for me to take my courses?

Yes, all courses are subject to a licence period.  This period can vary from 30 Days to 1 Year.  Check the details for your specific course to identify its time limits.  It is important that you take note of the licence period for any courses you complete.
